BIO
During her internship at Chicago's legendary music venue, Metro, Chess was first booked by owner Joe Shanahan after he was impressed by a couple mixes she made for the office. Fun side gig evolved into full-time profession and now she is one of the busiest DJs in Chicago. Whether playing house and nudisco on a sexy rooftop, funk and RnB poolside, or EDM and hip-hop in a packed club, Chess is known for her versatility and eclectic mixes. She has DJed at CMJ, SXSW, Wicker Park Fest, Spring Awakening, Taste of Chicago, and Lollapalooza along with being featured in the Chicago Tribune, Boston Globe, Creator's Project for VICE, URB Magazine and on Refinery29.com.

ONLINE STREAMING
When the pandemic first closed clubs down in Chicago indefinitely, Chess pivoted to online streaming on Twitch with great success, becoming a partner of the platform in the fall of 2020. She streams 3+ times a week, a WIDE range of music spanning from orchestral to the heaviest DnB and everything in between. Her streaming schedule is on the events page.
CLUB MESH
Chess is 1/3 of the DJ collective CLUB MESH with partners Lani Love and Dial Jess. Friends for many years, the three DJs formed CLUB MESH in 2018 to start throwing dance parties best enjoyed in breathable clothing. Before the pandemic, they spun every first Friday at Beauty Bar in Chicago. When the pandemic hit, the trio took to Twitch and have since become a powerful musical force on the platform. They boast over 60k followers between the three of their individual accounts in addition to having a separate CLUB MESH account to showcase guest DJs and do fun non-DJ pop-up streams. Beyond just DJing, the group has created a vibrant online community through Discord and regularly do fundraisers for charities and social awareness. CLUB MESH: it’s not a place, it’s a state of mind.
